Week 32 - 12th April


For someone like me, who uses the gym for their mental well-being as well as physical fitness; this was a huge break.

Obviously I personally needed the gyms to re-open as I was training for a specific challenge in September, but the number of people I have spoken to that need gyms for their mental health was huge.

Whether that's lifting weights, running on a treadmill, taking a spin or boxing class, or doing CrossFit, gyms offer such a necessary outlet and escape from our day-to-day lives.

Although I have been away from the gym for close to 3 months, my strength had not completely disappeared and this was a huge positive for me personally.

I know I have to keep improving and increasing my strength by following a structure programme, the fact that I may only need a few weeks of training to get back to the levels I was at before lockdown, has given me such confidence that I can complete this challenge in September.
